Located in the Bab Al Shams area of Dubai, the project is a 1.2 MW PV plant connected to the DEWA grid. It provides electricity to a large farm that is growing animal fodder. The plant is located in the desert and equipped with automatic cleaning robots that clear the dust from the PV modules.

The Sheikh Zayed Solar Power Plant is a 15-megawatt photovoltaic facility in Nouakchott, the capital of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. It was one of the largest solar power installations in Africa when completed and is the first such utility-scale installation in the country.

Masdar installed 16.6MW of photovoltaic (PV) projects across eight remote communities in Mauritania. Inaugurated in November 2016, the 16.6MW PV rural electrification programme was funded by the governments of Mauritania and Abu Dhabi.

Together, the projects feature 780 thousand Bifacial Canadian Solar panels with SMA inverters on NexTracker single axis trackers upgraded with TrueCapture Software, guaranteed to increase project output.

Located in Willacy County, Texas, this 273 MW project is part of the 1.6 GW clean energy portfolio Masdar acquired in partnership with EDF Renewables.

Implementation of energy conservation measures in 2013 through lighting retrofit and installation of lighting controls, which reduced the annual cost of lighting energy by 80 percent.

The Desert Harvest 1 and Desert Harvest 2 PV projects, which total 217 MWdc of solar, started commercial operation in December 2020. The projects are located in Riverside County, California.

With 400kW of solar photovoltaic panels, 600kWh of battery storage, and 184kW backup diesel generation, the system will mainly be powered by solar energy, with a standby diesel generator to provide power during the wet season.

The Um Al Zomul solar photovoltaic plant is an off-grid facility in the desert.

The 29.9MW Sterling project in Lea County, New Mexico was commissioned in 2017 and is comprised of 13 GE 2.3MW turbines.

Masdar installed solar home systems in more than two dozen villages around Camp Robinson within the Helmand Province of southern Afghanistan.

Located 27 kilometres off the coast of North Norfolk in East Anglia within water depths of between 18 and 25 metres, the Dudgeon Extension Offshore Wind Farm is one of Masdar's latest investments in the United Kingdom’s renewable energy sector.

The Cibuk 1 wind farm is a utility-scale onshore wind farm located in Vojvodina province, Serbia. The project provides clean, reliable and economically viable electricity to around 113,000 Serbian homes.

Located at the Future Rehabilitation Center, this extensive energy conservation project included the installation of an on-grid rooftop solar photovoltaic system, an advanced ventilation and air-conditioning control system, various water-saving devices, special soil additives, LED lights, thermal coatings on the school’s roof to reduce heat gain, and a monitoring system.

The 230-megawatt (MWac) Garadagh (Area 60) Solar PV Plant is the country’s first foreign investment-based independent utility scale solar project structured as a public-private partnership.

Masdar has implemented a hurricane-resistant clean energy plant in Antigua and Barbuda that contributes to Antigua and Barbuda's goal of producing 15 percent of its electricity needs from renewable sources by 2030. The project includes an 800kW diesel power plant and a 720kWh hybrid solar power plant, as well as an 863kWh battery system to store excess electricity generated.

The Investment agreement for the 315MW Neftchala Solar project was reached in October 2023, followed by the signing of Power Purchase Agreements, Transmission Connection Agreements, and Land Lease Agreements.

Inhabitants on three of Fiji’s outer islands (Kadevu, Lakeba, and Rotuma) have access to energy around the clock having previously had power for only 12-18 hours a day

In January 2020, Masdar signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with PT PLN Nusantara Renewables, a subsidiary of PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) (PLN), the state-owned electricity company in Indonesia. The agreement was to build Southeast Asia’s largest floating solar power plant.

Masdar entered the geothermal market in February 2023 by investing in one of the world’s largest geothermal players, Pertamina Geothermal Energy. The geothermal plants generate 4.8TWh geothermal energy with 3,915,000 tons of carbnon dioxide avoided each year.

In April 2023, Masdar signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and Government Support Agreement (GSA) with the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan to design, finance, build and operate the 250MWac Solar photovoltaic (PV) and 63MW/126MWh capacity of battery energy storage system (BESS) project

In November 2023, Masdar entered a Public Private Partnership Agreement (PPA) with JSC National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan to design, build and operate a 300MW solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant and 75MWh capacity battery energy storage system in the Kashkadarya Region in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The project has been tendered under assistance of the Asian Development Bank’s Office of the Public Private Partnership and its advisory team. It is scheduled to be operational in 2027.

Masdar and Taaleri SolarWind II Fund have together acquired 50:50 stakes in the Mlawa and Grajewo Wind Farms in Poland.

The one megawatt plant, which was expanded from 600kW following a grant from the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, bolster energy resilience and reduce costs associated with diesel imports

In November 2021, Masdar signed an agreement with the Government of the Republic of Armenia to design, finance, build, own and operate a utility scale solar photovoltaic (PV) project.

The Khobab Wind Farm was contracted under the South African Government’s Round 3 Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme, achieving commercial operation in December 2017.

The Republic of Palau consists of over 250 islands inhabited by a total population of 21,186 citizens, the majority located on four main islands including Peleliu and Anguar

This rooftop solar array is located atop the headquarters building of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD). It has a capacity of 40 kW and can displace 30 tonnes of CO2 annually.

In July 2021, Masdar signed an agreement with the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and JSC National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan to design, finance, build and operate a 220 megawatt (MW) utility-scale solar PV project in the Samarkand Region.

The 103.5-megawatt (MW) landmark project provides cost-effective, large-scale, utility wind power to the UAE’s electricity grid, further diversifying the country’s energy mix and advancing its energy transition.

The project will have a capacity of 8.2MW with rooftop solar PV systems installed at the marine-life mega development on Yas Island, including the main building.

The Zarafshan project is Central Asia’s largest wind farm. The 500MW capacity plant will power 500,000 homes.

In July 2021, Masdar signed an agreement with the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and JSC National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan to design, finance, build and operate a 220-megawatt (MW) utility-scale solar PV project in the Djizzakh Region of Uzbekistan.

In August 2021, Masdar signed an agreement with the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and JSC National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan to design, finance, build and operate a 457-megawatt (MW) utility-scale solar PV project in the Surkhandarya Region of Uzbekistan. This project reached full capacity in 2024, with commercial operation expected to commence in 2026.

The 520kWp Yas Bay Waterfront development for Miral involved the installation of over 900 solar modules, equivalent to powering around 100 Abu Dhabi households and offsetting 425 tonnes of CO2 emissions a year. The solution included finance, design, procurement and construction and Emerge will operate and maintain the solar modules.

The plant, which has obtained Abu Dhabi’s Department of Energy Solar Photovoltaic (PV) self-regulating generation license, has an installed capacity of 7 MWp and provides electricity to the Khazna Abu Dhabi 6 (AUH 6) facility

Emerge is providing a full turnkey solution for this 1.2 megawatt peak rooftop solar PV project, including design, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance. The solar PV system has been installed on Al Dahra’s rice processing facility located in KEZAD.

Masdar, as part of a consortium, developed the third phase of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park (MBR) Solar Park in Dubai, and is currently developing the sixth phase

Emerge will finance, design, install and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) panels at service stations across ADNOC Distribution’s UAE network

Emerge developed a 1.8MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) plant for Coca-Cola Al Ahlia Beverages, Coca-Cola’s bottler and distributor in the UAE, for its Al Ain facility.

Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) and Masdar – alongside partners EDF and JinkoPower – developed the Al Dhafra Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Independent Power Producer (IPP) project.

In December 2023, Masdar and Taaleri Energia, a Finnish-based renewable energy developer and fund manager, acquired eight hybrid renewable energy projects in Poland, marking a significant expansion in Masdar’s presence in Poland.

The Tafila Wind Farm is the first commercial utility-scale wind power project in the Middle East. Located in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the 117 megawatt wind farm has increased the country’s total power capacity by 3 per cent.

Masdar and EDF Group consortium is developing a a fully optimised and decarbonised off-grid renewable energy system at AMAALA, a new destination with wellness at its core, nestled along the Red Sea coast of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Morocco Solar Home Systems (SHS) project is a Masdar-led initiative in partnership with Morocco’s Office National de l’Electricité et de l’Eau Potable (ONEE). It provided 19,437 solar home systems in over 1,000 villages in the Kingdom of Morocco.

The 50-megawatt project was the first large-scale wind farm in the GCC region.

The Al Sadawi Independent Power Producer (IPP) project will be a 2,000 MWac solar photovoltaic plant, located in the Sadawi Region of Saudi Arabia. Financial close was reached in 2025.

Baltic Eagle is a joint venture project between Masdar and Iberdrola, involving the construction of a 476 MW offshore wind farm located near Rügen Island in the Baltic Sea.

Loeriesfontein 2 is situated in the Hantam Municipality of South Africa’s Northern Cape and was contracted under the third round of the country’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme.

Noupoort Wind Farm successfully reached commercial operations on schedule and on budget in July 2016

Perdekraal East is a 110 MW wind farm located approximately 30km north of Touwsriver in Western Cape, South Africa.

Masdar City uses clean energy generated on site from both the 10MW solar power plant and 1MW rooftop solar panels installed on the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence campus buildings, which supply the national grid.

The 243 MW Coyote wind project is part of Masdar’s second strategic EDF investment in Scurry County, Texas and features (48) 4.5 MW and (11) 2.4 MW Siemens Gamesa turbines.

Hywind is the world’s first floating offshore windfarm, located off the coast of Aberdeenshire in Scotland. Masdar has a 25 per cent stake in the 30MW project, along with lead operator Equinor, which owns 75 per cent.

Emerge has completed construction of Sharjah National Oil Corporation’s ‘SANA’ 60MWp solar PV plant, and will operate and maintain all turnkey solutions across the project for 25 years. The ground-mounted solar PV plant, located next to SNOC's Sajaa Gas Complex, is Sharjah’s first and largest solar power plant. It will generate enough clean energy to offset 66,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually, equivalent to removing more than 14,600 cars from the road each year.

The Benban Solar Power Plant in Egypt has a total combined capacity of 1.8GW, 230MW of which is owned by IPH and the rest by other developers.

Masdar and Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC) have announced the launch of the world’s first ‘round the clock’ 24/7 clean energy gigascale project, integrating solar power and battery storage in Abu Dhabi.

Located east of Amman, Baynouna is the largest single solar energy project operational in Jordan

With an installed capacity of 400 megawatts (MW), the Dumat Al Jandal project was Saudi Arabia’s first wind farm, developed by Masdar and EDF Renewables.

In November 2019, Masdar signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and Government Support Agreement (GSA) with the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan to design, finance, build and operate the country’s first public-private partnership (PPP) solar power plant.

The 1-megawatt peak (MWp) solar car park at Ethara’s Yas Marina Circuit, home to the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, generates approximately 30 percent of Yas Marina Circuit’s total annual energy demand, equivalent to powering nearly 200 Abu Dhabi households. Emerge is providing a comprehensive turnkey solution for the project, including finance, design, procurement, construction, operations, and maintenance for 25 years.

A consortium led by Masdar was awarded the 1,100MW Al Henakiyah project, after a successful tender process by SPPC.

The 158.7MW Parc Eolien Taiba N’Diaye (PETN) provides power for over 2 million people.

The key applications of the project are grid stabilization, frequency regulation and reactive power support.

Big Beau is a 164 MWdc solar PV and 40 MW/160 MWh battery energy-storage system. Located in Kern County, California. The project features more than 443 thousand Bifacial Canadian Solar panels with power electronics inverters on ATI trackers.
