Overview
The Bridgetown 350kW Solar PV Carport Power Plant and Bowmanston 500kW Solar PV Power Plant in Barbados are expected to save US$381,000 per year by displacing 265,000 litres of diesel fuel and 975 tonnes of carbon annually.
Both projects were built in partnership with the Barbados Water Authority, providing power to its water treatment plant and the water pumping stations. The 350kW solar PV carport also provides 124 parking spaces, as well as six level 2 electric vehicle charging stations.
