Overview

In November 2023, Masdar entered a Public Private Partnership Agreement (PPA) with JSC National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan to design, build and operate a 300MW solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant and 75MWh capacity battery energy storage system in the Kashkadarya Region in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The project has been tendered under assistance of the Asian Development Bank’s Office of the Public Private Partnership and its advisory team. It is scheduled to be operational in 2025.
