Masdar is committed to delivering knowledge platforms, such as Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, one of the world’s largest sustainability gatherings, the Zayed Sustainability Prize, the Women in Sustainability, Environment and Renewable Energy (WiSER) initiative and the Youth 4 Sustainability (Y4S) program.

IAmWiSER

This global campaign encouraged policymakers, industry leaders and the public to take the #IAmWiSER pledge to champion women as agents of sustainable change. The campaign was launched in October 2022 with the endorsement of women globally recognized for leading sustainability at the highest levels of UAE government, multinational corporations, and the United Nations.

WiSER Mentorship Program

The WiSER Mentorship Program is open to women enrolled in the WiSER Pioneers Program. Its purpose is to aid career progression by providing one-to-one mentoring sessions with senior industry figures.

WiSER Pioneers Program

The WiSER Pioneers Program is a year-long program offering young women aged 25 to 35 access to bespoke educational workshops and global networking opportunities with industry experts, creating leaders with an entrepreneurial mindset who are prepared to shape a more sustainable world.

Pertamina Geothermal Energy

Masdar entered the geothermal market in February 2023 by investing in one of the world’s largest geothermal players, Pertamina Geothermal Energy. The geothermal plants generate 4.8TWh geothermal energy with 3,915,000 tons of carbnon dioxide avoided each year.

Guzar

Masdar has entered into a Public Private Partnership Agreement to design, build and operate a 300MW solar photovoltaic power plant and 75MWh capacity battery energy storage system in the Kashkadarya Region in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Financial close was reached during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026.
