Sherabad Solar Project

In August 2021, Masdar signed an agreement with the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and JSC National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan to design, finance, build and operate a 457-megawatt (MW) utility-scale solar PV project in the Surkhandarya Region of Uzbekistan. This project reached full capacity in 2024, with commercial operation expected to commence in 2026.

Suriname Solar-PV Hybrid

This 1.2MWp Solar Power Plant is located at Anton de Kom University of Suriname Campus, also including 576kWh BESS for energy shifting, peak shaving, output stabilisation and education purposes. The Solar+BESS will be used for Renewable Energy Education courses in the faculty of Engineering.

Siwa Solar PV Plant

Masdar’s 10 megawatt solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant in Siwa was the largest solar power installation in Egypt at the time of its completion in March 2015. The project is the first utility-scale solar power installation in the Arab Republic of Egypt and accounts for 30% of the grid capacity of Siwa City and its adjoining areas.

Samoa Wind Farm

The innovative project supploes 1,500 megawatt-hours of power per year, delivering $475,000 (U.S.) in annual fuel savings

The Toshka Solar Power Plant located in Egypt provides power for the large-scale operations of an agriculture company

Taiba BESS

The key applications of the project are grid stabilization, frequency regulation and reactive power support.

Perderkraal East

Perdekraal East is a 110 MW wind farm located approximately 30km north of Touwsriver in Western Cape, South Africa.

Desert Harvest 1 and Desert Harvest 2 PV projects

The Desert Harvest 1 and Desert Harvest 2 PV projects, which total 217 MWdc of solar, started commercial operation in December 2020. The projects are located in Riverside County, California.

Noupoort

Noupoort Wind Farm successfully reached commercial operations on schedule and on budget in July 2016
