Masdar Celebrates World Book Day
Students from Al Ezza School in Abu Dhabi saw their favourite tales come to life at a Storytelling Session held near the iconic Wind Tower in Masdar City. Masdar celebrated World Book Day by inviting local school children to a book reading event today. Popular fairytale characters read and performed stories out loud, while inviting and encouraging participation from the younger guests.

Masdar City’s Free Zone has facilitated the establishment at Masdar City of the Nordic Innovation Hub, a business incubator designed to bring Nordic clean technologies and solutions to the UAE. Financial Close Reached for the First Utility-Scale Wind Farm in Jordan
Jordan Wind Project Company (JWPC) today signed the financing agreement to begin construction of the Middle East’s first utility-scale wind-power project. Located in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the 117MW Tafila Wind Farm will increase the country’s total power capacity by 3%. The project will cost an estimated US$290 million.

Masdar and Taaleri to launch a joint venture to accelerate wind and solar renewable energy development in Central and Eastern Europe
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 15 January, 2019 – Masdar, the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, and Taaleri Energia, a Finnish wind and solar developer and fund manager, signed an agreement for the establishment of a joint venture with the aim of developing renewable energy projects in Central and Eastern Europe. The joint venture aims to build upon the success of Masdar and Taaleri’s ongoing activities in the Western Balkans by expanding their collaboration through the joint development of onshore wind and solar photovoltaic (PV) projects.

We think about grid reliability and consumer cost per kilowatt-hour, or we think about the climate change apocalypse that we will impose on future generations if we fail to act swiftly enough.
