Masdar Celebrates World Book Day

Students from Al Ezza School in Abu Dhabi saw their favourite tales come to life at a Storytelling Session held near the iconic Wind Tower in Masdar City. Masdar celebrated World Book Day by inviting local school children to a book reading event today. Popular fairytale characters read and performed stories out loud, while inviting and encouraging participation from the younger guests.

The Storytelling Session was also among Masdar’s Year of Giving initiatives, with employees from Masdar taking time out of their busy schedules to participate in the event and giving children books and stationery to encourage a healthy habit of regular reading. 

Masdar will be holding further events, including a mobile book bazaar, throughout March to mark the UAE’s Month of Reading.
