Masdar agrees to develop 4 GW of clean energy projects in Azerbaijan
Masdar, one of the world’s leading renewable energy companies, has signed implementation agreements with the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to develop clean and renewable energy projects in the country with a combined confirmed capacity of 4,000 megawatts (MW) as an exclusive concession, with the right to develop an additional 6,000 MW as a second phase, bringing the total production capacity of these projects to 10,000 MW – the largest such signing in Azerbaijan’s history.

Mohamed bin Zayed honors winners of Parent-friendly Label

Launched by the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA), the initiative encourages Abu Dhabi’s semi-government, private and third sector entities to adopt parent-friendly work practices and policies. The Label also supports working parents as they care for their children and encourages a better work-life balance.

First Startup Accelerator in Middle East Focused on Sustainability and Clean Tech Launched by Masdar

Zayed Future Energy Prize expands global reach in record year for entries
The Zayed Future Energy Prize has closed submissions for its 10th cycle with a record of 2,296 entries – a 37 percent increase compared to 2016. Nominations for the Large Corporation and Lifetime Achievement categories yielded 1,113 entries, while the remaining 1,183 submissions were for Small & Medium Enterprise, Non-Profit Organisation, and Global High Schools categories.
