Etihad Rail and Emerge Sign Landmark Solar Power Deal at Global Rail 2024
Etihad Rail, the developer and operator of the UAE National Rail Network, signed a landmark agreement with Emerge, a joint venture between Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC - Masdar and EDF Group to solarize the railway network’s freight terminal in Ghuweifat. The total installed capacity is comprised of a 600 kWp ground-mounted solar PV system in addition to a 2.56 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS), and upon completion is expected to generate up to 85% of the terminal's electricity consumption.

DEWA and Masdar reach financial closing on 1800MW 6th phase of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar), announced the financial closing of the 1800-megawatt sixth phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the largest single-site solar park in the world. The solar park’s capacity will exceed 5,000 megawatt by 2030, with investments totalling approximately AED 50 billion. This is a new milestone in promoting the use of clean and renewable energy in the UAE.

AQUOVUM, Khalifa University and Masdar launch world’s first solar/thermal energy storage-powered project to extract water from air at Masdar City

Miral and Emerge to Develop Solar Project on Yas Bay Waterfront
Miral, Abu Dhabi’s leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences, has signed an agreement with Emerge, a joint venture between the UAE’s Masdar and France’s EDF, to develop a 524-kilowatt peak (kWp) solar photovoltaic (PV) project on Yas Bay Waterfront, Abu Dhabi’s vibrant day-to-night dining, entertainment and leisure destination located on Yas Island. Production of sustainable aviation fuel from solid waste
