Masdar and China Vanke Co. Ltd. Sign Memorandum of Understanding
Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy company, and China Vanke Co. Ltd. (Vanke), the Masdar Institute, BGI and China Merchants New Energy Group Limited (CMNE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for collaboration on potential projects in both the UAE and China. The signing took place during an Official Visit to the People’s Republic of China by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

Annual Sustainability Festival to Return to Masdar City
The Festival at Masdar City is set to return for a third year, continuing Masdar’s tradition of hosting a weekend of fun-filled activities for the family at the end of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW). Masdar, EDF Renewables and Nesma Renewable Energy Win Bid for 1,100MW Solar IPP Project in Saudi Arabia
Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC – Masdar, EDF Renewables and Nesma Company have signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) to develop the 1,100 MW Al Henakiyah solar power plant. Once operational, it is expected that the project will power more than 190 thousand homes per year and displace more than 1.8 million tonnes of carbon dioxide annually.
