Pioneering Energy Worldwide

We are actively committed to supporting Saudi Arabia’s efforts to reach net zero and to meet the ambitious renewable energy targets outlined in Vision 2030. Masdar also pioneering large-scale solar power projects to support the Kingdom’s Vision2030 goals for a more sustainable future.

A consortium led by Masdar was awarded the 1,100MW Al Henakiyah project, after a successful tender process by SPPC. The project entails developing, financing, constructing, and operating of the 1,100MWac PV plant, to be located in the Al Henakiyah region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The plant is expected to start commercial operation in 2026.

In January 2019 a consortium consisting of Masdar and EDF Renewables announced that it had won the tender for the Dumat Al Jandal wind farm in Saudi Arabia.
