Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC – Masdar, the UAE’s clean energy pioneer, is gearing up to support the nation’s renewable energy ambitions and leadership at the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28).
Visitors to Masdar City in Abu Dhabi can now take self-guided tours of the community with the newly launched interactive Masdar City Mobile application, which is available for download from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

Organised in collaboration with the Environment Friends Society, the Green Run is free to enter and has four categories: People of Determination (500 metres); Children (1km); Women (2km); and Men (3km).

The exhibition titled ‘Energiewende’ – meaning energy transition – explains how the German energy transition is taking place and how the country is shifting its energy supply to renewables, making the industry more secure, affordable and sustainable.
Abu Dhabi’s sustainable urban community Masdar City will host an estimated 300 runners this Friday for the “Environmental Marathon” organised by Environment Friends Society.
Open to men, women, children and people of determination, the 3km road race is free to enter and perfect preparation for the Special Olympics XI MENA taking place in the UAE later this month. Every participant will be pledging their commitment to protecting the environment.
The Masdar City podium will be filled with festive decorations as visitors enjoy dragon-puppet-making, lantern-making and more. Masdar City visitors are also invited to decorate a new-year-themed Wishing Tree. According to Chinese tradition, all their wishes will be granted!
The Netherlands Embassy in the UAE in association with Masdar is hosting a photography exhibition at the Masdar City Eco-Villa highlighting the effects of climate change until February 16th 2018.
