World’s first commercial-scale floating offshore wind farm on its way to Scotland

The first of five turbines for the Hywind Scotland commercial-scale floating offshore wind farm has now sailed away (date 17/07/2017) from Stord in Norway to its final destination, Buchan Deep, 25 km east of Peterhead in Scotland. Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy company, announced that it had acquired a 25% stake in the Hywind Scotland project during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week in January.

IRENA Global Headquarters Building at Masdar City is Completed

WEC and Masdar Sign Patronship Agreement to Address Global Sustainable Energy Access

Zayed Future Energy Prize expands global reach in record year for entries

The Zayed Future Energy Prize has closed submissions for its 10th cycle with a record of 2,296 entries – a 37 percent increase compared to 2016. Solar Impulse Completes Historic Transatlantic Crossing
