Mission Accomplished for UAE-Pacific Partnership Fund as Masdar Delivers 11 Clean Energy Projects
The recent inauguration of a 600kW solar photovoltaic plant in the Federated States of Micronesia marks the successful completion of Cycle 2 of US$50 million UAE-Pacific Partnership Fund. Through the UAE-PPF’s two cycles of financing provided by the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, renewable energy projects have been delivered to 11 Pacific Island nations by Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy company.

Masdar’s CEO Receives Mauritania’s Order of National Merit Medal
Yesterday, His Excellency Moulaye Ould Mohamed Laghdaf, prime minister of Mauritania, presented His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, CEO of Masdar, with Mauritania’s Order of National Merit Medal. This is one of the most prestigious honours given by the President of Mauritania. The medal was presented in appreciation for Masdar’s commitment to accelerating the global adoption of renewable energy and sustainable development.

UAE Looks to Strengthen Economic Ties With China in Bilateral Talks
Major Gen Omar al Bitar Opportunities to strengthen economic ties between the United Arab Emirates and China, were the focus of talks during a two-day visit to China by UAE minister of state H.E Dr. Sultan Al Jaber. The visit is expected to lay the ground work for increased economic activity between the UAE and China which is growing at more than 14 per cent annually. United Arab Emirates Now Ranks Third Among World Nations in Total Concentrated Solar Power Capacity

Delegation from Central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh Visits Masdar City
Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his delegation from the Indian State of Madhya Pradesh visited Masdar City today. They met senior members of Masdar City’s management, and were given a guided tour to showcase the city as an example of sustainability and urban planning best practices. Prior to the tour, the delegation received a comprehensive briefing from Masdar executives, including Mr. Mohammed Al Ramahi, Chief Operating Officer of Masdar, Mr. Anthony Mallows, Director of Masdar City, and Ms. Mahra Khalid Al Quassimi, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications.
