The evaluation process of the 2018 Zayed Future Energy Prize entries, the UAE’s international awards for renewable energy and sustainability, kick-started with a two-day meeting of the Review Committee in Abu Dhabi.

US Congressional Delegation Visits

A delegation of eight representatives from the United States Congress visited Masdar City on Sunday as part of a trip to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to participate in an educational and cultural exchange. Masdar, ADFD and PUC partner to build solar power plant with battery storage in Seychelles

Masdar, Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, will help the Public Utilities Corporation (PUC) in building a five-megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant with battery storage in the Republic of Seychelles The project is being financed by a AED31 million loan from Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), the leading national entity for development aid, as well as funds from PUC’s own equity.

Zayed Future Energy Prize Invites Entries to 10th Year

The 10th cycle of the Zayed Future Energy Prize is open for entries, it was announced earlier today. Submissions from eligible entrants are invited in the Small and Medium Enterprise, Non-Profit Organisation and Global High Schools categories, while the Large Corporation and Lifetime Achievement categories are open to nominations from the public. Entries will close on 6July 2017.

DP WORLD AND MASDAR TO EXPLORE CLEAN ENERGY SOLUTIONS

Masdar to Deliver 12MW of Solar Power in Mauritania

Masdar today signed a contract with Mauritania’s Ministry of Petroleum, Energy, and Mines, to deliver seven solar photovoltaic (PV) projects, with a total capacity of 12 megawatts, providing access to clean and reliable energy to seven towns across the country.
