Beyond2020 Installs Lighting Solutions at the World’s Largest Refugee Camp in Bangladesh
Beyond2020, the UAE-driven humanitarian initiative has announced the deployment of critical solar energy lighting solutions at Kutupalong Rohingya refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, lighting up the lives of 4,500 residents. Octopus Energy Group and Masdar sign agreement to manage UK battery storage
Global energy tech group Octopus Energy announced today it has signed a framework agreement with Masdar, one of the world’s leading clean energy companies, to license Octopus’ groundbreaking technology platform Kraken. Infinity Power Finalizes Acquisition of Lekela Power in Africa’s Biggest Renewable Energy Deal
Infinity Power, a joint venture between Egypt’s Infinity and UAE’s Masdar, announced today it has completed the acquisition of the entire shareholding of Lekela Power. The transaction makes Infinity Power the largest renewable energy company on the African continent. Masdar and Tonga Sign Mou to Build 500 KW Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant
Masdar will be in charge of the implementation and construction of a 500 KW solar photovoltaic power plant to be installed in Vava’u Island. The project, is financed by a grant provided by Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), the solar plant will deliver around 13 percent of Tonga’s annual electricity demand.

Masdar Green REIT signs green financing commitment with First Abu Dhabi Bank for growth of its portfolio
Masdar City, Masdar’s pioneering sustainable urban development in Abu Dhabi, through its Masdar Green Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), has signed a financing commitment in the amount of USD$200,000,000, with First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) relating to financing of the REIT portfolio to facilitate further acquisitions and portfolio growth. FAB will act as sole mandated lead arranger and bookrunner, green loan coordinator, agent, security agent and account bank for this transaction.
