Masdar has released its 2015 Sustainability Report, documenting the renewable energy company’s sustainability milestones in the period October 2014 to September 2015. Masdar developed the report using the internationally recognised sustainability reporting framework from the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), in accordance with the latest GRI G4 guidelines. First Large Scale Wind Farm Project in Seychelles Inaugurated
Envisioned by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and President James Alix Michel, the wind farm project is the first major renewable energy project in the Seychelles and will constitute 11% installed capacity of electricity on the main island, which will cut down on fossil fuel import and reduce greenhouse gas emission.
