Nature not rebounding quickly enough in COVID-19 pandemic, says HE Razan Khalifa Al Mubarak
While global measures to combat the COVID-19 pandemic have temporarily reduced air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, they have also hampered efforts to prevent biodiversity loss, Her Excellency Razan Khalifa Al Mubarak said at a virtual event today. Recovery plans must not only facilitate an economic rebound, they must also deliver a biodiversity stimulus, she told employees at Masdar.

UAE and partners to build resilient green power system for hurricane-ravaged Barbuda
The UAE-Caribbean Renewable Energy Fund (UAE-CREF) has announced a partnership with the Government of Antigua and Barbuda’s Ministry of Public Utilities, Civil Aviation, Transport and Energy, the CARICOM Development Fund (CDF) and the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (NZMFAT) to restore power to Barbuda following the near-total destruction of the island after Hurricane Irma struck in September 2017.
