Masdar to play leading role in CERAWeek 2022

Senior Masdar executives are taking part in CERAWeek 2022, in Houston, Texas next week, as the world’s leading energy conference returns as a physical event for the first time in three years. Masdar is also supporting CERAWeek 2022 as Power Innovator Partner.  

Masdar’s Chief Executive Officer Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi will participate in a panel session, Building Energy Infrastructure for Tomorrow on Wednesday, March 9. The panel will be moderated by Dr Daniel Yergin, Chairman of CERAWeek, and will also feature Alan Armstrong, President & CEO, Williams, and Justin Bird, CEO, Sempra Infrastructure. Philip Haddad, President and CEO of Masdar Americas, will participate in a panel discussion on Solar Power: Maintaining the growth curve, on March 10.

The theme for CERAWeek 2022 is .“Pace of Change: Energy, Climate, and Innovation,” and the event is expected to bring together over 6,000 delegates from around the world to address the challenges and opportunities of reducing emissions while supplying the needs of a growing global economy. Notable speakers include John Kerry, United States Special Presidential Envoy for Climate and His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Minister of Energy for Saudi Arabia. 

Now in its 40th year, CERAWeek is widely considered the most prestigious annual gathering of CEOs and Ministers from global energy and utilities, as well as automotive, manufacturing, policy and financial communities, along with a growing presence of tech. The event was cancelled in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and was held in a virtual format in 2021.
