Through a pioneering partnership to develop the country’s first waste-to-energy plant in the emirate, the new facility will play a significant role in achieving the UAE’s clean energy ambitions, while also paving the way for other similar projects to be launched in the country and across the MENA region.

Masdar to Deliver 12MW of Solar Power in Mauritania
Masdar today signed a contract with Mauritania’s Ministry of Petroleum, Energy, and Mines, to deliver seven solar photovoltaic (PV) projects, with a total capacity of 12 megawatts, providing access to clean and reliable energy to seven towns across the country. Completion of all the projects is expected by the first quarter of 2016.

Masdar and ENGIE form US$5 billion strategic alliance to help drive UAE’s green hydrogen economy
ENGIE and Masdar, one of the world’s fastest-growing renewable energy companies, announced today that they have signed a strategic alliance agreement to explore the co-development of a UAE-based green hydrogen hub.
