Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC), Masdar and Khalifa University of Science and Technology

Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, Masdar, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC), a Saudi Government Corporation responsible for power generation and supplying various regions in the Kingdom with desalinated water, and the Abu Dhabi-based Khalifa University of Science and Technology, represented by Masdar Institute, to accelerate the development and commercialization of sustainable desalination technologies needed to enhance regional water security. The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the International Water Summit, a key event of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2018, the region’s largest gathering on sustainability.

Masdar wins prestigious Mobility Management award for innovative transportation initiatives

Masdar, the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, has received the prestigious Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport (DAST) in the Mobility Management category for its initiatives to promote walking and cycling at Masdar City.

Delegation from Central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh Visits Masdar City

Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his delegation from the Indian State of Madhya Pradesh visited Masdar City today. They met senior members of Masdar City’s management, and were given a guided tour to showcase the city as an example of sustainability and urban planning best practices. Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week concludes with The Festival at Masdar City

Today was the first day of The Festival at Masdar City, and there's the promise of more fun, food and entertainment tomorrow! The event which concludes Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week is dedicated to raising community awareness of sustainability, brings in crowds with food trucks, live entertainment, and educational games and activities. The different Experience Zones include a Souk selling local and organic produce as well as an innovation hub filled with high-tech gadgets.
