IAmWiSER

This global campaign encouraged policymakers, industry leaders and the public to take the #IAmWiSER pledge to champion women as agents of sustainable change. The campaign was launched in October 2022 with the endorsement of women globally recognized for leading sustainability at the highest levels of UAE government, multinational corporations, and the United Nations.

WiSER Mentorship Program

The WiSER Mentorship Program is open to women enrolled in the WiSER Pioneers Program. Its purpose is to aid career progression by providing one-to-one mentoring sessions with senior industry figures.

The WiSER Pioneers Program is a year-long program offering young women aged 25 to 35 access to bespoke educational workshops and global networking opportunities with industry experts, creating leaders with an entrepreneurial mindset who are prepared to shape a more sustainable world.

Emerge to Install Solar Project at American Community School of Abu Dhabi’s New Sustainable Campus

Emerge, a joint venture between the UAE’s Masdar and France’s EDF, has signed an agreement with American Community School of Abu Dhabi (ACS) to install a 1 megawatt peak (MWp) solar photovoltaic (PV) project at ACS’s new environmentally sustainable campus on Saadiyat Island, UAE. The project will generate approximately 35 percent of ACS’s total annual energy demand, an equivalent of displacing 770 tonnes of carbon emissions every year. The project fully aligns with the UAE sustainability goals and contributes to the country’s Net Zero by 2050 strategic initiative.

President Massoud Barzani Hails Abu Dhabi’s Progress in Renewable Energy

Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Chief Executive Officer of Masdar, briefed His Excellency and his delegation about the progress made by Masdar in the six years since its inception. His Excellency Nasser Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi, accompanied the visiting delegation.

Sheikh Zayed Private Academy Students Visit Masdar

The visit was part of Masdar’s youth outreach program that aims to promote knowledge among the future generation about the different sources of renewable energy, clean technologies and the concept of achieving sustainable development within the UAE.
