UAE Energy Minister Visits Masdar
“With our demand for energy rising, it’s time to seriously consider an integrated, national energy policy to balance the sources of power we rely on,” said UAE Energy Minister H.E. Masdar Sends Competition Winners on Helicopter Ride over Shams 1 and Masdar City
The tour first provided a birds-eye view of the Shams 1 power project, located in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi. The 100-megawatt power plant generates enough energy to power 20,000 homes and displace 175,000 tons of CO2. The winners then flew back to Abu Dhabi and observed the progress at Masdar City, the growing, low-carbon sustainable urban development.

Masdar and Equinor inaugurate world’s first battery storage facility connected to an offshore wind

Masdar’s Shams 1 Solar Plant Celebrates Second Anniversary
