Masdar agrees to develop 4 GW of clean energy projects in Azerbaijan
Masdar, one of the world’s leading renewable energy companies, has signed implementation agreements with the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to develop clean and renewable energy projects in the country with a combined confirmed capacity of 4,000 megawatts (MW) as an exclusive concession, with the right to develop an additional 6,000 MW as a second phase, bringing the total production capacity of these projects to 10,000 MW – the largest such signing in Azerbaijan’s history.

First Large Scale Wind Farm Project in Seychelles Inaugurated
Envisioned by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and President James Alix Michel, the wind farm project is the first major renewable energy project in the Seychelles and will constitute 11% installed capacity of electricity on the main island, which will cut down on fossil fuel import and reduce greenhouse gas emission.

Mohamed bin Zayed honors winners of Parent-friendly Label
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan this week honored Masdar and other winners of the first cycle of the Parent-friendly Label (PFL), at Qasr Al Bahar. Launched by the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA), the initiative encourages Abu Dhabi’s semi-government, private and third sector entities to adopt parent-friendly work practices and policies.
