Sultanate of Oman prepares to build the first large-scale wind farm in the GCC region

Masdar announces opening of Mubadala Health COVID-19 vaccination center in Masdar City
Masdar, a global leader in sustainable innovation and development, and a subsidiary of Mubadala Investment Company, has announced the opening of a COVID-19 vaccination center in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi. The new center is part of the Mubadala Health network of COVID-19 vaccination centers and supports the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) and the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi, in implementing the UAE’s vigorous vaccination program.

Zayed Future Energy Prize Convenes Experts on the Transformative Impact of Renewables Integration
TheZayed Future Energy Prize, the UAE’s international awards for renewable energy and sustainability, brought together global energy leaders and influencers to address the urgency of transforming the global energy mix to safeguard energy security, enhance energy access in rural areas and mitigate climate change. The panel, including former heads of state, intergovernmental leaders and UAE dignitaries, was held following extensive deliberations to select the 2018 winners of the Zayed Future Energy Prize. Finalists announced for 2018 Zayed Future Energy Prize
International experts from the fields of energy, sustainability and education chose a shortlist of 34 finalists for the 2018 Zayed Future Energy Prize on Sunday and Monday during the third of a rigorous four-stage evaluation process. The finalists will now be discussed during a meeting of the prize’s Jury at the end of this month, with the winners to be announced at the annual awards ceremony during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week in January.

Students from Al Ezza School in Abu Dhabi saw their favourite tales come to life at a Storytelling Session held near the iconic Wind Tower in Masdar City. Masdar celebrated World Book Day by inviting local school children to a book reading event today. Popular fairytale characters read and performed stories out loud, while inviting and encouraging participation from the younger guests.
