UAE launches US$50 million renewable energy fund for the Caribbean
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) today announced a landmark new US$50 million grant fund for renewable energy projects in Caribbean island countries. Launched by HE Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, the UAE-Caribbean Renewable Energy Fund represents one of the largest-ever single investments in the region's clean energy sector, as well as a significant deepening of bilateral relationships between the UAE and Caribbean countries.

Cepsa and Masdar join forces to expand their renewables businesses internationally

Hundreds of runners to participate in Masdar City sponsored Environmental Marathon
Abu Dhabi’s sustainable urban community Masdar City will host an estimated 300 runners this Friday for the “Environmental Marathon” organised by Environment Friends Society. Open to men, women, children and people of determination, the 3km road race is free to enter and perfect preparation for the Special Olympics XI MENA taking place in the UAE later this month. Masdar concludes Power Purchasing Agreement to build Jordan’s largest solar power plant
Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy company, has completed a key step in the development of the largest solar power plant in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Dudgeon wind farm on track as first turbine begins delivering electricity
Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy company, announced today that its second large-scale offshore wind farm in the United Kingdom has started supplying electricity to British homes. Around six thousand households are now receiving power from the Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm after the project’s first turbine began operating today. Sixty-seven 6-megawatt (MW) turbines will be installed altogether, generating enough power to provide electricity to 400,000 homes.
