Family Day at Masdar Park brought the community together for a fun-packed afternoon against the backdrop of one of the world’s most sustainable cities. Visitors took part in family-friendly activities such as a parade, arts and crafts, live entertainment and face painting.
Opened this January, Masdar Park is an outdoor dining destination with outlets housed inside recycled shipping containers powered by solar panels. It also features a bicycle-powered cinema, a recycled musical instrument wall, and a 2.6 km long bike and fitness trail. Due to popular demand, Masdar Park will now be open year-round!
Masdar is Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy company which works to advance the development, commercialisation and deployment of clean energy technologies and solutions. The company serves as a link between today’s fossil fuel economy and the energy economy of the future.
