Global Leaders Convene for Start of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2016
Tomorrow (16 January, 2016), global policy and business leaders will convene in the capital of the United Arab Emirates for the first official day of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2016 (ADSW), the largest gathering on sustainability in the history of the Middle East. Attracting more than 33,000 delegates, including over 80 government ministers and visitors from 170 countries, ADSW – hosted by Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy company – addresses the interconnected challenges of energy and water security, climate change and sustainable development. ADSW 2016 is anchored on four key pillars: policy, business, leadership and awareness/research.

Masdar City’s Etihad Eco-Residence Wins Emirates Green Building Council MENA Green Building Award 2018
Masdar City’s Etihad Eco-Residence has won the Green Residential Building award at the Emirates Green Building Council (EmiratesGBC) Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Green Building Awards 2018. A team from Multiplex Constructions LLC, which built the complex, accepted the award for the Masdar-developed project at a recent ceremony in Dubai.

Global CCS Institute Opens First Regional Headquarters at Masdar City
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; 30th August 2022: Masdar City, the regional home of technology innovation and R&D in Abu Dhabi, has announced the opening of the Global Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Institute’s first Middle East headquarters. Financial Times names Masdar City best free zone for renewable energy
Masdar City has been named “Best Free Zone for Start Up Support” by the Financial Times and has collected three other prestigious global awards. The Global Free Zone of the Year Awards hosted by the FT’s fDi Magazine are among the most high-profile awards in the free zone sector, with approximately 65 free zones entering this year’s competition. Masdar announces opening of Mubadala Health COVID-19 vaccination center in Masdar City
Masdar, a global leader in sustainable innovation and development, and a subsidiary of Mubadala Investment Company, has announced the opening of a COVID-19 vaccination center in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi. The new center is part of the Mubadala Health network of COVID-19 vaccination centers and supports the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) and the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi, in implementing the UAE’s vigorous vaccination program.
