Empowering young women to become sustainability leaders

The Women in Sustainability, Environment and Renewable Energy (WiSER), one of Masdar’s strategic outreach platforms, is proud to announce that the WiSER Pioneers Program is now accepting applications for its 2021 cohort.
The year-long Pioneers Program offers young female professionals, aged 25 to 35, from around the world, access to bespoke educational workshops and global networking opportunities with industry experts, creating leaders with an entrepreneurial mindset who are prepared to shape a more sustainable world.
Zaina Al Hashmi, Senior Sustainability Specialist, ADNOC, who has completed the 2020 program, says that it has built upon her existing skills and passion for sustainability.
“This year, I was able to widen my network, meet an amazing group of dedicated young women, get exposed to an array of learning opportunities and gain knowledge through various virtual platforms.
The program emphasized my passion to excel in the sustainability field and I am honored to have been part of this cohort!”
Program participants have the opportunity to attend training sessions teaching core skills such as leadership, communication, career planning, and personal development.

WiSER, supported by Principal Partner Abu Dhabi Global Market, is committed to playing a key role in continuing the conversation about female empowerment and gender equality while providing opportunities for young women to become advocates of sustainability and change.
