LAGI international design competition winners announced
The Land Art Generator Initiative (LAGI) and Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) have announced the winners of this year’s LAGI international design competition at the 24th World Energy Congress in Abu Dhabi. Sponsored by Masdar, LAGI 2019 Abu Dhabi challenged design teams to create large-scale works of public art that also produce clean kilowatt-hours for the Masdar City grid using technologies such as solar and wind.

First Eco-Friendly Credit Card Launched in the UAE
Major leading UAE financial institution, First Gulf Bank (FGB), will launch the UAE’s first green Visa Credit Card next week in association with Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy company, at the sixth World Future Energy Summit during the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week. The First Gulf Bank Masdar Card allows members of the community to become more involved in different environmentally sustainable initiatives. The product falls in line within a series of socially geared products that FGB has developed recently.

UAE puts energy-water-food-climate nexus on UN agenda at ongoing climate negotiations
The United Arab Emirates today hosts COP18’s central discussion of the energy-water-food-climate nexus, in cooperation with New York University. The panel, “It Never Rains in the GCC,” had identified priority government interventions in the market to manage the nexus as its global significance intensities. Masdar agrees to acquire stakes in two US wind farms
