800MW third phase of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park reaches financial close
The financing for Phase 3 of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in Dubai has been completed. This marks the latest significant milestone for the Masdar-led consortium, with EDF Group’s subsidiary, EDF Energies Nouvelles, which is developing the 800-megawatt (MW) project in partnership with Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).

UAE and New Zealand inaugurate solar power plant in Solomon Islands
The United Arab Emirates and New Zealand today inaugurated a solar power plant in Solomon Islands, developed and deployed by Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy company. The recent inauguration of a 600kW solar photovoltaic plant in the Federated States of Micronesia marks the successful completion of Cycle 2 of US$50 million UAE-Pacific Partnership Fund. Through the UAE-PPF’s two cycles of financing provided by the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, renewable energy projects have been delivered to 11 Pacific Island nations by Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy company.
