  • Three major solar projects inaugurated in the Caribbean

    Three climate-resilient solar power projects in the Bahamas, Barbados, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines are being inaugurated this week under the US$50 million UAE-Caribbean Renewable Energy Fund (UAE-CREF), the largest renewable energy initiative of its kind in the region. The fund is a partnership between the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, and Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company).

  • Masdar announces opening of Mubadala Health COVID-19 vaccination center in Masdar City

    Masdar, a global leader in sustainable innovation and development, and a subsidiary of Mubadala Investment Company, has announced the opening of a COVID-19 vaccination center in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi. The new center is part of the Mubadala Health network of COVID-19 vaccination centers and supports the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) and the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi, in implementing the UAE’s vigorous vaccination program.

    TheZayed Future Energy Prize, the UAE’s international awards for renewable energy and sustainability, brought together global energy leaders and influencers to address the urgency of transforming the global energy mix to safeguard energy security, enhance energy access in rural areas and mitigate climate change. The panel, including former heads of state, intergovernmental leaders and UAE dignitaries, was held following extensive deliberations to select the 2018 winners of the Zayed Future Energy Prize.
