Region’s First Commercial Scale Waste to Energy Plant inaugurated in Sharjah Represents Major Achievement in Low Carbon Energy Production

Masdar and Tonga Sign Mou to Build 500 KW Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant
Masdar will be in charge of the implementation and construction of a 500 KW solar photovoltaic power plant to be installed in Vava’u Island. The project, is financed by a grant provided by Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), the solar plant will deliver around 13 percent of Tonga’s annual electricity demand.
