Financing commitments mark critical milestone in development of Bee’ah’s and Masdar’s Sharjah waste-to-energy facility

ADSW 2018 draws to a close after delivering on promise to “Drive the global energy transformation”

Masdar and European Investment Bank Working Together to Accelerate Renewable Energy Development in ME
Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy company, today announced plans to collaborate with the European Investment Bank (EIB) – the financial arm of the European Union – to accelerate the development of clean energy projects in parts of the Middle East and North Africa. Masdar Delivers Samoa’s First Wind Farm
The Samoan Prime Minister, the Honorable Tuilaepa Aiono Sailele Malielegaoi, today inaugurated the country’s first wind farm. Delivered by Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy company, the 550 kWe project is the second completed under the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) $50 million Pacific Partnership Fund, which is managed by Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD). The inauguration ceremony comes two days before the start of the United Nations’ Third Conference on Small Island Developing States1, in Samoa’s capital.

How sustainable technology will help Sharjah turn waste into energy
