Masdar and France Sign Joint Declaration to Cooperate on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency

Mexican President Visits Masdar City During ADSW 2016
His Excellency Enrique Peña Nieto, President of Mexico, yesterday paid a special visit to Masdar City – Masdar’s greenprint for one of the world’s most sustainable urban developments. First Startup Accelerator in Middle East Focused on Sustainability and Clean Tech Launched by Masdar
Today, as part of Masdar’s Innovation Week activities, Masdar, BP and Masdar Institute launched The Catalyst, the region’s first technology startup accelerator focused on sustainability and clean tech. The Catalyst, which is supported by USD 5 million in funding from BP, will help startups accelerate their business through funding, training and mentorship. Zayed Future Energy Prize expands global reach in record year for entries
The Zayed Future Energy Prize has closed submissions for its 10th cycle with a record of 2,296 entries – a 37 percent increase compared to 2016. Nominations for the Large Corporation and Lifetime Achievement categories yielded 1,113 entries, while the remaining 1,183 submissions were for Small & Medium Enterprise, Non-Profit Organisation, and Global High Schools categories.
