Zayed Future Energy Prize Opens Submissions for 2013 Edition
The Prize will invite entries from companies, individuals, organizations and high schools prior to the deadline to submit – July 16, 2012, for a chance to win part of the US$4 million prize fund. UAE launches US$50 million renewable energy fund for the Caribbean
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) today announced a landmark new US$50 million grant fund for renewable energy projects in Caribbean island countries. Launched by HE Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, the UAE-Caribbean Renewable Energy Fund represents one of the largest-ever single investments in the region's clean energy sector, as well as a significant deepening of bilateral relationships between the UAE and Caribbean countries.

Masdar unveils locally manufactured all-electric Eco-Bus at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2018
A template for future sustainable public transport solutions, the working prototype was jointly developed by Masdar and Abu Dhabi-based Hafilat Industry in collaboration with the Masdar Institute, part of Khalifa University of Science and Technology. Technology partner Siemens provided the bus’s engine giving the vehicle a range of 150 kilometres per charge while minimising the size and weight of its battery.
