IRENA Global Headquarters Building at Masdar City is Completed
Masdar today announced the completion of the IRENA Global Headquarters complex, which is almost fully leased and will be the permanent home of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), as well as other commercial tenants. Located in Masdar City – Abu Dhabi’s low-carbon, sustainable urban development – IRENA will officially move in by the end of the first quarter 2015.

The contest received 106 entries from 40 countries, all of which creatively described the ideal, sustainable city of the future. Annual Sustainability Festival to Return to Masdar City

Red Sea Global announces Amaala Multi-utilities Concession Agreement
Red Sea Global (RSG), the multi-project developer behind the world’s most ambitious regenerative tourism destinations, Amaala and The Red Sea, has entered into a 25-year concession agreement with the French multinational electric utility company EDF (Électricité de France) and leading clean energy company Masdar on a multi-utilities infrastructure facility to service the Amaala destination.

Čibuk 1 wind farm in Serbia reaches key construction milestone
A collaboration between Masdar, Taaleri Energia and the German development finance institution DEG to develop the largest utility-scale commercial wind project in Serbia has successfully reached a number of key milestones, and is on schedule to start production early next year.
