Masdar collaborates with Department of Transport to roll out first all-electric bus service in the Middle East
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; January 3, 2019 – Masdar, the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, has officially launched the first fully electric passenger bus in the region in partnership with the Department of Transport in Abu Dhabi (DoT), Abu Dhabi-based bus manufacturer Hafilat Industry LLC , and leading technology company Siemens.

Masdar turns the tap on cutting-edge seawater desalination programme

First Wind Turbine at Dhofar Installed

Prime Minister David Cameron inaugurates world’s largest offshore wind farm
London Array, the 630MW offshore wind farm located in the Outer Thames Estuary, first started generating power in October 2012. The 175th turbine was bought online in March 2013 and London Array is now celebrating the completion and full operation of the site, which could supply around 500,000 UK homes with electricity each year.

Masdar signs landmark Power Purchase Agreement for 150MW Quipungo Solar PV project in Angola
Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC – Masdar, a global clean energy leader, has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the 150-megawatt (MW) Quipungo Solar Photovoltaic project in Angola, marking Masdar’s first PPA in the country. The Quipungo project represents the first contracted site under Project Royal Sable, a planned 500MW renewable energy programme across three sites that will strengthen Angola’s southern power grid and support the country’s sustainable development objectives.
