Masdar, ADFD and PUC partner to build solar power plant with battery storage in Seychelles
Masdar, Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, will help the Public Utilities Corporation (PUC) in building a five-megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant with battery storage in the Republic of Seychelles The project is being financed by a AED31 million loan from Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), the leading national entity for development aid, as well as funds from PUC’s own equity.

Zayed Future Energy Prize Invites Entries to 10th Year
The 10th cycle of the Zayed Future Energy Prize is open for entries, it was announced earlier today. Submissions from eligible entrants are invited in the Small and Medium Enterprise, Non-Profit Organisation and Global High Schools categories, while the Large Corporation and Lifetime Achievement categories are open to nominations from the public. Masdar Unveils 2015 Sustainability Report
Masdar has released its 2015 Sustainability Report, documenting the renewable energy company’s sustainability milestones in the period October 2014 to September 2015. Masdar developed the report using the internationally recognised sustainability reporting framework from the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), in accordance with the latest GRI G4 guidelines. The report discloses a wide variety of sustainability indicators, ranging from economic and environmental data to labour practices and employment information.

Masdar to Deliver 12MW of Solar Power in Mauritania
Masdar today signed a contract with Mauritania’s Ministry of Petroleum, Energy, and Mines, to deliver seven solar photovoltaic (PV) projects, with a total capacity of 12 megawatts, providing access to clean and reliable energy to seven towns across the country.
