Masdar, host of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), today announced that Abu Dhabi’s Department of Energy (DoE) will support the global platform for accelerating sustainable development as ADSW’s Principal Partner. The partnership with the DoE will support ADSW’s initiatives and events, which are bringing global leaders together virtually from 18 – 21 January 2021, to engage in dialogue and take action to advance the global sustainability agenda.

Solar Impulse 2 arrives in Egypt before homeward journey to Abu Dhabi

Solar Impulse 2 (Si2), the solar-powered plane attempting to become the first aircraft in the world to circumnavigate the globe without using a drop of fossil fuel, took another step towards its epic goal when it touched down in Egypt at 7:10 Egypt time today. Masdar agrees to acquire stakes in two US wind farms

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; January 15, 2019: The Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar), has announced the execution of a share purchase agreement (SPA) to acquire John Laing Group plc’s (John Laing) interest in two wind farms in the United States, marking the first time the Abu Dhabi-based company has invested in renewable energy projects in North America.

UAE and Denmark Cooperate to Advance Renewable Energy and Sustainability Globally

The United Arab Emirates and the Government of Denmark today signed a strategic framework agreement outlining nine areas of collaboration focused on advancing renewable energy and sustainability globally. The Petroleum Institute (PI) today launched the solar-powered car that will represent the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the inaugural Abu Dhabi Solar Challenge, January 15-19, sponsored by ADNOC and hosted by Masdar. UAE’s first waste-to-energy project receives landmark award for first-of-its-kind financing loan
