US Congressional Delegation Visits
A delegation of eight representatives from the United States Congress visited Masdar City on Sunday as part of a trip to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to participate in an educational and cultural exchange. In addition to official government meetings, the delegation, led by U.S. Congresswoman and Chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, Rep. Marcia L. Masdar Delivers Samoa’s First Wind Farm
The Samoan Prime Minister, the Honorable Tuilaepa Aiono Sailele Malielegaoi, today inaugurated the country’s first wind farm. Delivered by Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy company, the 550 kWe project is the second completed under the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) $50 million Pacific Partnership Fund, which is managed by Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD). The inauguration ceremony comes two days before the start of the United Nations’ Third Conference on Small Island Developing States1, in Samoa’s capital.

Zayed Future Energy Prize Convenes Experts on the Transformative Impact of Renewables Integration
TheZayed Future Energy Prize, the UAE’s international awards for renewable energy and sustainability, brought together global energy leaders and influencers to address the urgency of transforming the global energy mix to safeguard energy security, enhance energy access in rural areas and mitigate climate change. The Global Clean Water Desalination Alliance – H20 minus CO2, launches in Paris during COP21
With water security becoming one of the most imposing long-term challenges for many countries, the Global Clean Water Alliance – H2O minus CO2 launches in Paris as a collaborative global climate initiative and one of the key components to the Lima Paris Action Plan. The Alliance has an initial group of more than 80 signatories and was officially ratified on 26 November 26 2015.
