Middle Easts largest wind farm in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reaches halfway mark on construction

Masdar City’s Etihad Eco-Residence Wins Emirates Green Building Council MENA Green Building Award 2018
Masdar City’s Etihad Eco-Residence has won the Green Residential Building award at the Emirates Green Building Council (EmiratesGBC) Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Green Building Awards 2018. A team from Multiplex Constructions LLC, which built the complex, accepted the award for the Masdar-developed project at a recent ceremony in Dubai.

GRI to hold regional launch of new global sustainability reporting standards
The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), an international independent organization that has pioneered corporate sustainability reporting since 1997, will hold the regional launch of the new GRI Standards in Abu Dhabi on 19th September 2017. Green Run hosted at Masdar City

Masdar and UK Green Investment Bank Sign MoU
Today, Masdar and the UK Green Investment Bank plc (GIB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore project investment opportunities in the UK’s clean energy sector. Mayor of London Boris Johnson Visits Masdar City
As part of his Masdar City tour, Johnson visited the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, a graduate level, research-oriented university focused on alternative energy and sustainability. The Mayor met with staff and students to discuss the research being undertaken to advance renewable energy and clean technologies. Jordan’s King Abdullah II Inaugurates First Utility-Scale Wind Farm in the Middle East
Tafila, Jordan, 17 December, 2015 – His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan inaugurated today the first utility-scale wind power project in the Middle East with high-level officials from across the Middle East in attendance, including HRH Prince Talal bin Muhammad; HE Dr Abdullah Ensour, the Prime Minister of Jordan; HE Dr Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of State and Chairman of Masdar; HE Dr Ibrahim Saif, Jordan Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources; HE Bilal Rabie Bilal Al Bodour, UAE Ambassador to Jordan; and Dr Ahmad Belhoul, CEO of Masdar. Built by the Jordan Wind Project Company (JWPC), the wind farm is a joint project of Masdar, InfraMed and EP Global Energy.
