Zayed Sustainability Prize 2020 submissions up 13 per cent
Following its 11th annual awards ceremony, held in January, the Zayed Sustainability Prize, the UAE's pioneering global award in sustainability, entered a four-month submissions phase for the 2020 awards, which closed on 30th May with a record 2,373 completed submissions; a 13 per cent increase over the previous year.

Masdar Signs Cooperative Framework with Energias de Portugal
Masdar today signed a framework agreement with Energias De Portugal (EDP), Portugal’s largest utility company, to explore opportunities to deploy large-scale renewable energy projects and promote renewables as source of foreign aid. Masdar concludes Power Purchasing Agreement to build Jordan’s largest solar power plant
Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy company, has completed a key step in the development of the largest solar power plant in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The Power Purchasing Agreement (PPA) for a 200-megawatt (MW) photovoltaic (PV) plant was signed today by Mohamed Al Ramahi, Chief Executive Officer of Masdar, and Abdul Fattah Daradkeh, Chief Executive Officer of National Electric Power Company, Jordan’s state electricity provider, at a ceremony in Amman attended by His Excellency Dr Hani Al Mulqi, Prime Minister of Jordan.
