Masdar Opens New Office in Saudi Arabia
Masdar, one of the world’s fastest-growing renewable energy companies, has pledged to strengthen its support for Saudi Arabia’s clean energy objectives, with the opening of a new dedicated office in the Kingdom. Masdar will also participate with partners in the upcoming Round 4 tender announced by the Saudi Power Procurement Co. UAE-Caribbean Renewable Energy Fund announces major projects in five countries
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) today announced the first five projects under the US$50 million UAE-Caribbean Renewable Energy Fund (the Fund) across Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Global “H20 Minus C02” Desalination Alliance Convenes First Meeting at ADSW 2016
The Global Clean Water Desalination Alliance (GCWDA) held its first meeting on 19 January during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week. The Masdar-led “H20 minus C02” Alliance was founded on 5 December on the sidelines of the Paris climate change negotiations (COP 21). The Alliance aims to bring together key water desalinationand clean energy stakeholders with the goal to reduce the CO2 emissions of the world’s water desalination. Organisations from 23 countries are members of the Alliance, including the United States, China, Korea, Japan and several European countries.
