UAE entities launch first-of-its-kind research consortium for renewable and advanced aviation fuels
In the UAE Year of Sustainability, and at the 3rd ICAO Conference on Aviation and Alternative Fuels (CAAF/3) was held in Dubai, eight founding entities announced the launch of the “Air-CRAFT” initiative - a UAE based research consortium focused on developing, producing, and scaling sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) technologies.

Masdar Opens New Office in Saudi Arabia
Masdar, one of the world’s fastest-growing renewable energy companies, has pledged to strengthen its support for Saudi Arabia’s clean energy objectives, with the opening of a new dedicated office in the Kingdom. Masdar will also participate with partners in the upcoming Round 4 tender announced by the Saudi Power Procurement Co. (SPPC) for wind and solar projects with a combined capacity of 3.3 gigawatts (GW).

Mohamed bin Zayed honors winners of Parent-friendly Label
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan this week honored Masdar and other winners of the first cycle of the Parent-friendly Label (PFL), at Qasr Al Bahar. Launched by the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA), the initiative encourages Abu Dhabi’s semi-government, private and third sector entities to adopt parent-friendly work practices and policies. Solar Impulse 2 Makes History; Arrives Safely in Hawaii to Complete Record-Breaking Flight
Solar Impulse 2, the revolutionary solar-powered aircraft able to fly day and night without a drop of fuel, arrived in Honolulu, Hawaii on Friday at 19:57 UAE time after crossing the Pacific Ocean.
