Masdar City hosts Porsche’s Soul Journey
Masdar City was chosen as one of the stops during the Porsche Taycan’s Soul Journey from Dubai to Riyadh in the lead up to the Formula-E Championship that is taking place in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, from November 22-23, 2019.
The second stop on the Soul Journey saw Australian former F1 racing legend Mark Webber and Saudi Arabia representative of women motorsport Aseel Al Hamad visit Masdar City, one of the world's most sustainable cities, where they showcased the new, all-electric Porsche Taycan and its low-carbon impact.
The pair were greeted by Yousef Baselaib, Executive Director, Sustainable Real Estate, who hosted them on a tour of Masdar City, where they learned about the city’s innovative design and features that have combined to make it a pioneer in sustainable urban development.
“Masdar City is a unique destination for creation and innovation, and we were delighted to host the new all-electric Porsche Taycan and be part of its Soul Journey”, said Yousef Baselaib.
