One of the largest gatherings of local and international petroleum companies, the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC) is running from 11 to 14 November at the Abu Dhabi Exhibition Center.

Attended by more than 145,000 trade visitors and seeing 2,200 exhibitors representing 23 countries, the four-day event this year will focus on digitalization and how it can be applied to the oil and gas sector.

Masdar contributed to the conference to promote the role of clean energy in the industry, addressing the existing gaps, transitions and solutions needed to transform the existing fossil fuel-driven system.

Niall Hannigan, CFO, joined a panel discussion at the Ministry of Energy and Industry Knowledge stand on 13 November discussing the falling costs of renewable energy and the implications it will have on solar power generation and accessibility in the next 10 years.
The Catalyst, a Masdar-BP Initiative that supports startups using technology to make our world more sustainable also attended the four-day exhibition, showcasing their service offerings.
