Forbes ranks Masdar in its inaugural list of 15 most sustainable companies in the region

Masdar has been named by Forbes Middle East in its inaugural list of the 15 most sustainable companies in the region. The list, which is ranked alphabetically, focuses on the “biggest companies that are making significant efforts to become more sustainable”. 

The list was compiled using the criteria of environmental impact, such as contributing to emission reductions, and metrics achieved, the financial sustainability of the initiatives, revenues, and clientele. 
Masdar’s multi-billion-dollar renewable energy portfolio, encompassing more than 30 countries, including the UAE, UK, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, was highlighted by Forbes Middle East in the company’s ranking. The website also referenced Masdar’s recent installation of 20,000 solar home systems in Morocco, and the company’s agreement in January to acquire a 40 per cent stake in a waste-to-energy facility in Australia, which is forecast to power more than 36,000 homes upon completion.
