Aysha Al Aydaroos wins a Women in Renewable Energy of the Year Award 2020

Masdar’s Aysha Al Aydaroos, Head of Business Support, Clean Energy, has been selected as a winner of the Women in Renewables Asia Award 2020. Al Ayadroos was one of five ‘Distinguished Representatives’ selected for the third edition of the awards from a group of almost 100 nominations. 

Al Ayadroos was acknowledged for her efforts in establishing Masdar’s presence in Southeast Asia, which culminated in the current ongoing development of the Cirata Floating Solar Photovoltaic (FPV) Plant – Masdar’s first project in the region and its first floating solar project. 

“The Women in Renewable Energy of the Year Award highlights the valuable contribution that women are making to the clean energy sector. It is a great honor to receive this award, along with my fellow awardees. I hope that our efforts encourage more females to pursue careers in the renewable energy sector,” Al Ayadroos said. 

With over 17 years of experience in the private and public sectors, Al Ayadroos’s dedication and efforts has led her to become one of Masdar’s most inspirational role models.   

The awards ceremony for the Women in Renewable Energy of the Year Award will take place as a virtual ceremony on November 23, 2020, with a physical event taking place in 2021 in Tokyo, Japan.
