Abu Dhabi lights up iconic buildings in green and with Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week logo ahead of the launch of ADSW events

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, January 14, 2021: Some of Abu Dhabi’s most iconic buildings were lit up in green and with the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week logo, to mark the launch of the week’s activities. ADSW, the global platform for accelerating sustainable development, hosted by Masdar, will be held from 18 to 21 January 2021 and reimagined virtually.

The Wind Tower and Siemens headquarters located in Masdar City, ADNOC’s headquarters, Abu Dhabi Global Market in Al Maryah Island, Khalifa University, and prominent tourist attractions on Yas Island and Al Ain Municipality were among the buildings to display the ADSW logo.

Through initiatives and events, ADSW is committed to the sharing of knowledge, implementation of strategies and the delivery of real-world solutions to address the challenges related to sustainability and climate change. As the first global event in the UAE’s Golden Jubilee year, ADSW 2021 will help galvanize further collaboration among government, business and community stakeholders to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
